The Klickitat County Coalition began its work to provide asset building resources for families and communities in 2006 with the WSU Horizons Grant. Members of the group are made up of Horizon communities, agencies, businesses, and organizations. Horizon communities of: Trout Lake, Glenwood, Klickitat, White Salmon Bingen, Goldendale, Wishram, Lyle and Big River. Agencies include the Goldendale Chamber of Commerce, WSU Horizons, Century Tel, Sawnet, Gorgenet, Klickitat County Extension, Economic Development, GorgeGrown, Klickitat Health Department, DSHS, various community churches, etc.
Community Enrichment for Klickitat County is a federally recognized, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. It has been established with volunteer community members (from eight communities) in order to aid in the development and implementation of local projects generated from local issues and concerns, provide support and services as a fiscal agent for community grants, and work as an advocate in acquiring resources for enrichment opportunities for the citizens in our area.
Our mission is to increase prosperity and enhance the quality of life for the people in Klickitat county, and provide support that will ensure their community projects continue to flourish.
