WASHINGTON (7News) — StormWatch7 is on Weather Alert today, tracking storms through the afternoon and evening in the DC area. Some may be strong to severe with damaging winds, large hail and isolated flooding.
A Flash Flood Warning was issued in Montgomery County at 10:45 p.m. through Sunday at 2 a.m.
A Flash Flood Warning was also issued Saturday for parts of Arlington, Fairfax, Montgomery, Prince George's County and D.C. until midnight.
A slow-moving cell has led to two to three inches of rain in spots, causing flooding of urban areas, including streets, underpasses and poor drainage spots.
The Storm Prediction Center placed areas along and east of the Blue Ridge under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 p.m.
A Flood Watch is in effect from 2pm through 10pm for the DC metro area with the risk for some heavy rain.
A fair amount of clouds from old storms that have died out in the mountains have overspread the region.
Showers and storms may come in a few clusters and a few areas may have a couple of rounds leading to locally higher rainfall totals.

A few showers will linger into early Sunday morning but the front should progress south quickly leading to clearing skies with highs in the upper 80s.
As of now, the 4th of July is looking hot but dry with highs in the lower 90s under mostly sunny skies. Temperatures should be in the low to mid 80s for the fireworks downtown which start at 9:09pm.
